Consultant, Writer, and Public Speaker in Kansas City, Missouri

Hello! I have worked as a public relations and marketing professional for 27 years. I've also worked as a newspaper editor, radio talk show host, and television executive.

I'm the owner and principal of AGPR, a public relations and marketing firm in Kansas City, Missouri. I'm also a speaker on topics including public relations, crisis communications, marketing, entrepreneurship, social media, and indie publishing. Over the years, I've had a blast as master of ceremonies for corporate retreats, fundraisers, and special events.

Writing as J. Alexander Greenwood, I have authored seven novels and novellas: "Pilate's Cross", "Pilate's Key", "Pilate's Ghost", "Pilate's Blood", "Pilate's Rose," and "Pilate's Shadow,." and the upcoming "Pilate's Faith." "Pilate's 7" is a collection of short stories I'm proud to say was ranked #35 on the Shelf Unbound Magazine Top 100 Notable Books list for 2016. I've also written numerous short stories, including the award-winning Obsidian. In 2012, I authored the bestselling crowdfunding ebook Kickstarter Success Secrets (now an Audible audiobook).

I co-wrote "Big Cabin and Dispatches from the West" with the late Robert E. Trevathan.

I enjoy hosting the weekly Mysterious Goings On podcast, which focuses on writing and creativity. My Public Relations and business podcast, PR After Hours, posts new episodes twice a week. In 2021, I published The Podcast Option: Tips and tricks to make podcasting work for you.
