JAMES R. Sanders is a freelance journalist/stylist and public relations practitioner based in the New York area. His editorial work has appeared online and in print in such publications as: VOGUE Italia, The Huffington Post, Topman GENERATION, Fox Interactive Media, AskMen.com, Uptown Magazine, FashionEtc.com, and SoulTrain.com. As a stylist, James has worked with numerous magazines and celebrities on image consulting, wardrobe styling, and personal shopping. James specializes in fashion, culture, music, and long features.
JAMES grew up in Pleasantville, NJ (blocks away from Atlantic City) and remembers getting wrapped up in great books such as: Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Color Purple, and The Outsiders – this is when he decided that he wanted to be a writer. James' journalistic influences include: Hunter S. Thompson, Aliya S. King, Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley, and Grace Coddington. His fashion influences are: Rachel Zoe, Marc Jacobs, and Diane von Furstenberg. James hopes to one day be a major fashion brand.
