Jennifer  Breakspear

Jennifer Breakspear is committed to making a difference and this commitment has guided her throughout her life.

Jennifer is currently the Executive Director of Options for Sexual Health (Opt), the largest sexual and reproductive health care provider in Canada, where she leads an innovative health care organisation in the delivery of sexual health care, education and information to support healthy sexuality for all.

Before Opt Jennifer led QMUNITY – BC’s Queer Resource Centre for over four years. As Executive Director she led the organisation through a major rebranding effort, increased the organisation’s profile and established QMUNITY as the authoritative resource on matters relevant to the LGTB community in BC.

Over the years Jennifer has contributed her time, talents and passion to organisations making a difference locally and around the world. Some of these include; Amnesty International, Canadian Blood Services, Canadian Red Cross, Zee Zee Theatre, and Vantage Point.

Jennifer is pursuing her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation through the Canadian Society of Association Executives.

Jennifer is a leader, writer, media commentator, wife, sister, daughter, auntie, bass player, paddler and cyclist.
