My personal mission: to work with a brand that values creativity and is socially responsible, one in which I can feel I am growing both as an individual and a professional, helping it reach its goals while leaving a better world behind.

Welcome to my about.me page. Here are a few things about me: I was born in Vila Nova de Gaia, a satellite city of Porto, the second biggest city of Portugal, up in the North, where real men are begotten ;) This is why I say I was born in Mother Earth's arms (Gaia).

As any regular student, as soon as I finished my first cycle of studies I had to choose a study route. So I opted by science which I thought would give me better prospects of a stable career. Meanwhile I was pursuing a dream of becoming a famed writer and/or musician that though never went that far - a lot for my own fault - still, it changed me into a person with a broader culture in Arts, Music, Literature, etc... As I had to get some economic independence, I started to work. This caused me to abandon studies.

After spending some time in jobs such as being a waiter at one of the most famed cafes in Porto (Majestic Café), being a security man or even working as a music salesman of a big French retailer - FNAC - or developing graphic tools for handicap children, I decided to return to school and after finishing my 12th grade with straight 20's (in a 0-20 scale) at the four remaing subjects I still needed to finish to apply to any higher degree, I applied to Sports Medicine in Glasgow.

I was immediatly accepted but had to postpone it and eventually drop it as I couldn't pay for the expenses. I tried learning Spanish to apply to Salamanca - my GPA would have been far sufficient - but again financial issues stiffled me.

So now I end up facing my true self and accepting that I do belong to the communication field. I applied to Business Communication in ISCAP and was accepted. Since then, I have been awarded with a merit diploma for my academic achievements, have been invited to speak in a conference, created a blog in my field of studies and have been invited to write for a couple of websites.

I am happy, yet not satisfied. I still have a lot to achieve.
