John Koch

Self proclaimed jQuery Evangelist. Band director turned programmer. Been programming for the last 8 years as a professional. 15+ years experience in programming.

My computer interest begain with a Commodore 64 when I was in 8th grade. For reference, that would be about 1983 or 1984. Yes, I spent hours with the Commodore 64 magazine typing in 100s of lines of code to make a silly game. I once spent amost a week typing in about 10 pages from the magazine to make some game I played for about 30 minutes before turing the 64 off. (I didnt have a tape drive or disk drive - but this inspired me to ask for a tape recorder for my birthday and later the disk drive for Christmas.)

Currently I am a C# developer but rely mostly on jScript and jQuery to do most of my development. I use those tools as weel as complex CSS to build not websites, but Web Applications for internal use at a Healthcare Travel Staffing Company in NW Arkansas.

In the last 8 years I have also become quite familiar and profficient with SQL and write some failry complex queries for work.

Personally, I am a father and foremost, beleiver in Jesus Christ.

I enjoy Racquetball, off-roading in my jeep and want to be an avid fisherman but hate standing on the bank. I hope to get a boat soon.
