Over the last 14 years, John Oppedisano has played a critical role in the management of General Dynamics Amphibious Systems, a division of GD- Land Systems with offices in Woodbridge, Virginia, that specializes in developing amphibious military vehicles for the U.S. and its allies. As the business unit's director of contracts, he oversees 100 employees spanning four office locations. Moreover, John Oppedisano holds responsibility for the performance of seven departments and contributes to the firm's strategic plans. During his time with the firm, he has helped procure $3.3 billion in contract awards, primarily from the Department of Defense, and has handled more than $1 billion in subcontracts.

Prior to accepting his current position in Woodbridge, John Oppedisano worked with several governmental agencies in the capital. Furthermore, he spent three and half years as a government contract manager for a business in New York City and four years with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Outside of his professional obligations, John Oppedisano enjoys playing golf and sailing. Additionally, he sits on the board of BD Performing Arts, a non-profit connected with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps in Concord, California.
