Jon Koehmstedt

At 18, Jon started an e-commerce business which he exited 6 years later to go back to school. While studying Computer Science at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), Jon became the president of the Society for Business and Entrepreneurship, and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. In just a year and a half, Jon earned three Associates Degrees with a 4.0 GPA and was one of eight of 70,000+ students to complete the honors program.

In 2013, Jon was elected Who's Who in American Universities, and honored with the NOVA SEAL Award, for Service, Engagement, Academics, and Leadership. Jon is a 2013 StartingBloc Fellow.

After NOVA, Jon moved to Palo Alto, CA and accepted a full time position as a software engineer for Velocloud Networks. In April 2014, Jon Koehmstedt accepted the position of CTO for the DC-based startup, DailyDeed. Jon now studies CS fulltime at the University of Southern California while doing research with the Neuroscience Lab at USC.

Jon is interested in artificial intelligence, algorithms, big data, business intelligence, data science, and product management.
