Jon Koehmstedt

At 18, Jon started an e-commerce business which he exited 6 years later to go back to school. While studying Computer Science at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), Jon became the president of the Society for Business and Entrepreneurship, and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. In just a year and a half, Jon earned three Associates Degrees with a 4.0 GPA and was one of eight of 70,000+ students to complete the honors program.

In 2013, Jon was nominated and elected Who's Who in American College's award, and honored with the NOVA SEAL Award, for Service, Engagement, Academics, and Leadership. Jon is a 2013 StartingBloc Fellow.

After graduating from NOVA, Jon moved to Palo Alto, CA and accepted a full time position as a software engineer for [stealth company]. In April 2014, Jon Koehmstedt accepted the position of CTO for the DC-based startup, DailyDeed. This fall, Jon will be continuing his studies in CS at the University of Southern California.

Jon is interested in artificial intelligence, algorithms, big data, business intelligence, data science, and product management.
