Judy Bauernschmidt

After serving the Adams 12 School District for more than a decade and completing a master of education administrations program with the University of Phoenix in Colorado, Judy Bauernschmidt began working as director of secondary education at Colorado Virtual Academy in 2002. She left the academy in 2009 and joined Jeffco Public Schools as the director of online and blended learning. During her time within the Jeffco Public School System, Judy Bauernschmidt assisted in the development and implementation of blended learning programs throughout the entire district. She further assisted the district by upgrading a failing online school program to the state’s highest possible level of accreditation.

After spending time as chief authorizing officer at the Colorado Charter School Institute, Judy Bauernschmidt assumed her current position as executive director of the Colorado eLearning Collaborative. She also offers services the schools and school districts as an independent eLearning consultant.
