Keith Hampton

Keith Hampton, an accomplished musician, composer, and conductor, has served as the President of Dr. KT Productions, Inc. since founding the company in 1991. Through his business, he offers transcriptions of black gospel music. He has also produced his own CD and published a book which gives insight to several of his gospel compositions. In recognition of his original works, the North Central Choral Directors Association named Keith Hampton one of the Top 25 Contemporary Composers.

Seeking to share his love and knowledge of gospel music, he is the founder and director of two Chicago-based music groups: the Keith Hampton Singers and the Chicago Community Chorus. He is also on the staffs of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and Augustana College as the conductor of their gospel choirs, and is the director of music at Hillcrest Baptist Church, as well as the principal conductor of the Classic Act Choral Ensemble. He received his doctor of music with a focus on church music/conducting and music theory from Northwestern University, and holds teaching certifications in New Jersey and Illinois.
