Kevin Janus

I'm Kevin Janus, a comedian, writer, actor, and producer on the New York comedy scene. I'm co-creator and host of the comedic foreign affairs podcast, Where the F**k Are We?, one-half of the sketch duo, The Sophisticates and a writer and performer for The Final Edition and The Final Edition Radio Hour, the brainchild of legendary National Lampoon editor, Tony Hendra. As a member of the off-Broadway hit show, Wake Up World, I performed and wrote with The Daily Show's Co-Creator Lizz Winstead and the sketch group, Shoot the Messenger. I also wrote for the celebrity Roast of Anthony Bourdain. Ever the proud Canadian, I was thrilled to be asked by the Canadian Consulate to create, write, and perform in its "Happy Canada Day, New York" video starring CNN's Ali Velshi and NY1's Pat Kiernan with cameos by Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Bryan Adams, Burton Cummings and more. For many years, I received critical acclaim as the host and producer of America's only Canadian-themed comedy show, The Comedy Igloo, which Time Out New York regularly lauded as a "Critic's Pick" and "Don't Miss" and The Comedians magazine called "one of the best stand-up programs in town."

I've performed professionally since age 13, including lead role premieres with the Ancient Comic Opera Company and lead singer of the cowpunk band, The Yeehaa Cowboys.

I'm also a lawyer. I'm a litigation associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP (LL.M. from NYU, J.D. from Univ. of Toronto).

I live in the city with my wife Kelly, son Jack, and daughter Zoe.
