Kimon Angelides

The founder of EosHealth, Inc., Diabetes America, Inc., MAB Generation, Inc., and BioNexus Ventures, Kimon Angelides, PhD, has consistently pushed the frontiers of health care delivery. He founded EosHealth in 2008 and serves as its CEO, leading the company in enabling individuals, corporate employees, and health care providers to gain access to information and medical programs online, 24 hours a day. Through Diabetes America, founded in 2004, Dr. Angelides opened and ran a network of diabetes care centers. The facilities provided every aspect of diagnostic tools, on-site laboratories and testing, and personalized diabetes treatment, all for a single co-pay. Under the leadership of Kimon Angelides, Diabetes America grew from one employee to more than 200 in four years. MAB Generation served as a platform for research and development of monoclonal antibody therapies in response to cancer and infectious diseases. The first of more than a dozen patents secured by Kimon Angelides came out of his tenure with the company. Roughly half of Dr. Angelides' patents apply to monoclonal antibody therapies, drug development processes, and optical screening techniques. The other half govern mobile and medical device applications. Formerly a professor at Durham University in Great Britain, Kimon Angelides, PhD, has also taught at Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Florida in Gainesville, and McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Angelides earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. He pursued postgraduate studies in medicine at the Université Louis-Pasteur in Strasbourg, France, and Cornell University hosted his postdoctoral work as a Fellow of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Kimon Angelides, PhD, serves as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He sat on the National Advisory Boards of the NIH and the National MS Society, and he currently serves on grant review committees for the NIH. Fluent in English, French, and Greek, he also speaks Russian as the result of overseas training.
