Kristen Westphal

Raised in Northern Virginia, Kristen Westphal is a undergraduate of Stevenson University with a degree in Film, Video, and Theatre. She has a wide variety of skills including working as a grip, assistant director, producer, colorist, editor, and graphic designer on a number of small projects. Kristen is hardworking, passionate, and dedicated to her profession, always striving to learn new skills.

The last short film she worked on, "Hugs", was a zombie comedy narrative about a zombie Harry who just wanted a hug. Check out the film on vimeo: http://vimeo.com/31446117

It was showcased in Stevenson University's Online Film Festival and was awarded first place. It was also featured on ZombieZoneNews.com in a article and listed in December 2011 as one of the top short zombie films. "Hugs" was the first film made by the production team Future Gun Productions.

Currently she is producing/direction a short horror film entitled "Rising". The film is about a small group of people who wake up prisoners of the mysterious Dr. Guignol in a dank basement with no knowledge of how they got there. All they know is that others are becoming infected with a horrifying virus at a increasingly and dangerous rate. The film's completion date is set for June 2012. She is also producing three other short films: "Knock", a sci-fi apocalyptic film, "Prism", a psychological drama, and "Chair", a intricate narrative look at the life of a chair.
