Leslie Kavanaugh

A native of Beverly Hills, California, and a top-producing real estate agent, Leslie Kavanaugh makes a concerted effort to give back to her community. Leslie Kavanaugh holds both an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. After working as an educator at El Rodeo School and an interior designer, Ms. Kavanaugh launched her 30-year career in real estate. Today, she works with Sotheby's International Realty, where she has earned numerous awards and commendations for her efforts. Outside of her professional life, she participates in numerous charities and non-profit organizations.

As the former President and current member of the Board of Trustees of Friends of Robinson Gardens, Ms. Kavanaugh collaborates with the County of Los Angeles on preservation efforts for beautiful, historic Virginia Robinson Gardens. In particular, the organization has worked to bring museum status to the landmark. Its other missions include encouraging understanding of gardens in general and teaching children about the role of the plants to our earth and our eating.

Leslie Kavanaugh has also served on the Board of Trustees of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters for more than 15 years. The organization offers mentoring services to nearly 3,000 children of varying backgrounds in the Southern California area. One of the first and few women to serve on the executive committee, Ms. Kavanaugh received the Sydney J. Rosenberg Lifetime Achievement Award for her charitable work with the organization.

In addition to her efforts with Friends of Robinson Gardens and Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, Ms. Kavanaugh maintains an active role in The Blue Ribbon, a support group of The Music Center. Leslie Kavanaugh recently participated in the Children's Festival at the Music Center, a three-day musical celebration that draws together fifth-grade students from across the Los Angeles school system.
