Marco Bitran
Marco Bitran is the founder of AI Exchange, Inc., an alternative investment separately managed account company located in Boston, Massachusetts. He developed a technology system that allows wealth managers and investors to access alternative investment strategies in transparent and liquid accounts. Marco Bitran raised $1.5 million in venture capital to start the business from General Catalyst, Founder Collective, LaunchCapital and Common Angels, and designed the technology that enables the trade processing operations.
As a Global Industry Analyst for Wellington Management Company, Marco Bitran oversaw a sleeve of the Global Research Equity Portfolio and worked closely with a variety of portfolio managers. Marco Bitran spent two years at Morgan Stanley in California as an Equity Research Associate and Financial Analyst. He was a member of the first team to predict the upcoming drop in technology stock values and also participated on teams that advised large technology companies on major buyouts and other transactions. He also participated on teams that advised large technology companies on strategic transactions.
His collegiate background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with a Minor in Economics, from MIT and a Master’s in Business Administration at Harvard Business School. At MIT, Bitran was chosen for three national honor societies and became a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and was captain of the Rowing Team.
Marco Bitran provides support for charities, including the MSPCA, animal rights organizations, and the Bitran Charitable Foundation. Marco has also volunteered and consulted for the Somerville Homeless Coalition.
Marco Bitran is married to Devorah Bitran, who was born in New Jersey. Marco was born in Brazil. Devorah and Marco have two children, named Isaac and Dalia, and live in the Boston area.
