Mark Mcleary

Throughout his career in the fields of mineral exploration and finance, Mark Mcleary has established himself as a capable leader and a dedicated professional. As the owner and principal of McLeary Capital Management, he provided advisory services regarding retirement, estate planning, and taxes for small businesses and individuals. After founding the company in 1994, Mcleary began work on his first contract with North American Life, where he organized a number of life, disability, and other insurance products. When North American Life merged with Manufacturers Life, he managed some $10 million in cash assets for about 800 clients.

Aside from his work as a financial planner, Mark Mcleary works as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Silver Sun Resource Corp, an exploration company he founded in 2007. After a highly successful silver play in Zacatecas, Mexico, Mcleary used the revenues to purchase a gold mine in Yreka, one of only six permitted gold mines in the state of California.

Before launching his career in financial planning and exploration, Mark Mcleary graduated from Simon Fraser University and Capilano University. Mcleary holds a number of financial planning certifications including Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a license with the Insurance Council of British Columbia.

In his free time, Mark Mcleary enjoys playing hockey. After a highly successful prep career in Vancouver, BC, he decided to play semi-professional hockey at the age of 17. Mcleary played for the Victoria Cougars and New Westminster Bruins of the Western Hockey League, where he played alongside several future NHL players.
