Martin Pakula

I am married to Jennie, we have two children: Asher & Rachel; I am a reformed Evangelical Christian. 

I was brought up Jewish and became a Christian whilst studying at the University of Sydney. I have a BSc, BTh, MTh and Dip Min.

I have worked in university student ministry; parish ministry; Jewish outreach; and Bible College lecturing.  As well as being interim pastor 3 days a week at Hills Bible Church, I am currently an associate staff worker at the Christian Union at Deakin Burwood.  I am also writing a commentary on Nahum, Habakkuk & Zephaniah for the Reading the Bible Today series of commentaries (I have already written the Numbers commentary in that series).  I am involved also with Christian Witness to Israel (CWI) and the Centre for the Study of Islam and Other Faiths (CSIOF). 

Jennie is a solicitor working at the Legal Services Commissioner.  Asher and Rachel attend Box Hill High School.

 I like the Beatles, science fiction and people (not necessarily in that order!).  I am deeply grateful to God that Jesus died and paid for my sins and rose again to give me new life.  I love studying God's word and teaching it.  I would value your prayers for that and for putting what I learn into practice!
