Matthew Brachmann

As a student at Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, Illinois, Matthew Brachmann excelled in a number of extracurricular endeavors, especially sports. He played both football and basketball, serving as captain of the varsity basketball team for two years. In recognition of his outstanding athletic achievements at Montini, Matthew Brachmann received the prestigious Gold Medal Award at the school’s 2014 graduation ceremony. He also received a Saint John Baptist De LaSalle Award for character and a Mother Teresa Award for participating in campus ministry and assisting his fellow students.

Since August of 2014, Matthew Brachmann has attended Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. He is studying logistics supply with an additional concentration in communications. Outside of the classroom, Matt Brachmann is active with Best Buddies, an Elmhurst College program that serves young people living with disabilities of various kinds. Since February of 2015, he has simultaneously worked as an Elmhurst College teacher's assistant for adult students with disabilities.
