Matthew Snapp Austin

Psychologist Matthew Snapp has maintained a private clinical practice in Austin, Texas since 1977. He also acts as a Consultant for the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, where he mediates disability claims related to mental health. Further, Matthew Snapp sits on the board of several organizations committed to assisting individuals with mental disabilities, including Austin's New Milestones Foundation. He is also an Executive Coach with nearly three decades of experience. Matthew Snapp has worked with many directors, CEOs, and other senior-level officials in the public and private spheres alike. Among other areas, he holds expertise in conflict resolution, effective communication, presentation strategies, and working across cultures. Specifically, he has collaborated with executives in Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Through his coaching, he has served the education, manufacturing, information technology, and research and development industries. He counts among his clients Dell, the Court of Accounts in Romania, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of International Affairs. To bolster his consulting endeavors, Matthew Snapp has achieved several credentials, including certification in the Hogan Personality Inventory and the Hogan Development Survey. Additionally, he affiliates himself with Coach-Source and remains a Certified Meeting Facilitator through Interaction Associates. Matthew Snapp holds degrees from Brigham Young University, Wagner College, and the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his Ph.D. He has also published in industry journals including the Journal of Special Education and the Journal of School Psychology. In addition, he co-authored the book, The Jigsaw Classroom.
