Retiring as a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Michael J. Pitts spent 30 years in federal law enforcement and government aviation. He also retired from the military with 22 combined years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force Reserve as a fixed and rotary wing pilot. In 2015 the New Mexico Military Institute inducted him into the Hall of Fame for Eminence in the Field of Endeavor. Michael no longer serves as a homeland defense and security consultant.
