Michael Konig

A licensed nursing home administrator, healthcare executive, and real estate investor with more than three decades of professional experience, Michael Konig currently serves as President of Broadway Healthcare Management in Hackensack, New Jersey. Mr. Konig entered the healthcare industry as Head Administrator for Northfield Manor in West Orange. Just 20 years old at the time, Michael Konig launched a highly successful career in nursing home administration at Northfield Manor, turning the bankrupt facility into a profitable business and attractive option for retirees throughout the region, with 90 percent of the residents in private payment plans. Following Northfield, Mr. Konig joined the management team at Continental Health Affiliates, where he continued to build on his achievements in the private nursing care sector. Demonstrating his talent for business development, Michael Konig helped Continental Health become a publicly traded entity and eventually sold his shares in the 1990s.

After Continental, Mr. Konig made a series of investments in nursing homes, apartments, hotels, and other properties across the country, with more than 60 such holdings on the East Coast alone. Selling these properties for a profit in the late 1990s, Michael Konig subsequently founded Broadway Healthcare Management, through which he provides nursing, dietary, and consulting services to nursing homes nationwide.

Aside from his work at Broadway Healthcare, Mr. Konig plays an active role in the community, volunteering his time, energy, and resources to a wide range of worthwhile causes in the greater New York area and beyond. Over the years, he has given to Samuel J. Konig Middle School and Chesed L'Avraham orphanages, founded the Etz Chaim rabbinical school, and established a foundation for Holocaust remembrance.
