Michael Weichselbaum

For the last 15 years, Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum has served as principal at Bnos Malka Academy, an elementary school for female students in Forest Hills, New York. As a leader within the facility he is tasked with defining and observing the Bnos Malka mission statement, developing educational programs for students and professional programs for teachers, and overseeing all hiring decisions, including all members of the non-teaching staff. During his time at Bnos Malka Academy, Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum has increased student enrollment at the school from 37 to 350 individuals. His past experiences in education include four years as a Judaic studies teacher at the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach. Between 1991 and 1995 he served in the same position at Yeshiva Har Torah in Bellrose.

Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, before entering in the school’s graduate-level ESL (English as a second language) program. He later resumed his academic career at Brooklyn College, earning a second master’s degree in educational leadership in 2013.
