Michel Moreno

An equine enthusiast, Michel “Mike” Moreno studied business administration at the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette. After earning his bachelor of science, he received admission into the university’s graduate program and completed his master of business administration. Michel Moreno lectured on marketing and behavioral science as an adjunct professor while pursuing his MBA.

Mr. Moreno currently owns and operates Southern Equine Stables, LLC. Through his company, he works with thoroughbred horses, which he purchases and sells to customers. Many of his horses are bred to race in notable events, including the Breeders’ Cup and Kentucky Derby. Concurrently, Mike Moreno maintains partnership at Global Security Systems. Under his leadership, the company launched GSSNet, a homeland security and natural disaster first alert system, which debuted at the National Association of Broadcasters 2005 show in Las Vegas. Mr. Moreno also has partnership in Dee Lincoln Steak and Burger Bar in Dallas, Texas, and manages Southton Rail Yard in Louisiana.
