Michelle Matheson
Writer in Auckland, New Zealand
Welcome to my journey. From my early childhood I've wanted to be a writer. It started with a request to write a poem about Jumbo the Elephant when I was eight. Suitably impressed with my efforts, I decided I would be a poet and author. Secretly, it's what I've wanted to do ever since.
In the interim, I've tried my hand at all number of things. Secondary School teacher, Backpacker, Human Resources Specialist and most important of all Wife and Mother. Now in my forties, (couldn't tell from the photo, right?) I'm dipping my toe into my early dreams.
I'm based in Auckland, with my darling husband, daughter and Monty the cat. They're coming along on the journey too. Are you?
