Mike Lesczinski

Mike Lesczinski is a former political communications and campaign operative turned public relations pro. The communications chair for the Capital Region chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Mike is currently in charge of PR for a private, nonprofit college.

Mike honed his craft at Portfolio PR Group, an up-and-coming PR startup firm specializing in high tech. Charged with managing day-to-day operations, strategy, social media and high-level media outreach for each of the firm’s retainer technology brands, Mike secured feature stories in the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, Barron’s, Chicago Tribune, Yahoo!, Popular Science and WIRED, among a host of other high-tier outlets within his first 8 months, earning the firm the award for the best 2010 “National PR Campaign For-Profit” as bestowed by the Capital Region chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Prior to agency life, Mike consulted and headed up communications for four New York State legislators and managed several State Assembly and local campaigns.

A social media enthusiast and avid Buffalo Bills Fan, Mike lives in Albany, New York – a stone’s throw from the New York State Capitol – with his fiancé and his pup, Jack Bow-wower.
