I am Michael Beckett, usually just Mike. I care about making things better for people. I live in Brightlingsea near Colchester, in the East of England, UK.

My personal interests include ethics, community politics, social policy, economics, business and especially good Governance. I am a cooperator and a believer in reformation rather than revolution; we need to manage change to help make things better for people. In order to provide a responsible, sustainable business environment it requires good governance with people at the heart of the business devoted to caring for their community, whatever the enterprise we need to put people first.

My work is mainly in the voluntary and community sector. I have Board level experience including the roles of Specialist Advisors, Non-Executive Directors, Executive Directors, CEO and Chairperson.
