I studied at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and the University of Edinburgh (UK), and work as a research assistant and lecturer at at the University of Bern (Switzerland), where I am also doing a PhD in Humanities on 'critical media theory' and 'truth'.

I consider myself lucky that I can do for living, what I would try to do anyway. Most of the time I am reading; mostly philosophy, experimental cultural science, social theory, sociology of science, theory of science, theory of religion, or Internet studies stuff, following sociological blogs, some tech blogs, etc. Rarely I am writing, too, yet, most writing goes unseen straight into my field notes. I love, collect, read and write into many books.

You can find my weblog at www.sinnsysteme.de, where I am (rarely) blogging about social and cultural theory, academic research and teaching online, and what recently has emerged as digital humanities. I am always up for a great discussion, both on- and offline.

Since 2015, I have been producing podcasts on various topics, mostly social theory, philosophy and critical theory. You can find more information on https://noradio.eu - home to all of my podcasts. In 2017, I also produced a daily podcast as reflexive academic think and work environment "experimental system" (a spoken "Denktagebuch"), where I try to experiment with podcasts as academic medium for self-reflection, spoken thinking, note taking, etc. You find it on https://podlog.noradio.eu or on iTunes.
