Namita Kedia

An accomplished physician and professor in the field of emergency medicine based in Florida, Dr. Namita Kedia received her MD at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis. After graduating, she completed extensive postgraduate training. Over the course of a year, Dr. Kedia fulfilled an internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. She also completed a three-year residency in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Jacobi and Montefiore Medical Centers in the Bronx, New York. During her residency, Dr. Namita Kedia’s duties included serving as an Emergency Management Residency Interviewer and a Clinical Exposure Mentor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Namita Kedia acquired certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
While living in Mumbai, India, for a few months from 2002 to 2003, Dr. Namita Kedia volunteered at a local clinic, which assists women and children in the Kamathipura area. During this period, she volunteered as an educator for the citizens of Mumbai through the South Asia Against AIDS Foundation. A charitable individual, Dr. Namita Kedia supports the Tampa General Hospital Foundation and maintains membership with the American College of Emergency Physicians. In her leisure time, Dr. Kedia enjoys traveling the world, hiking, biking, swimming, and reading. While studying at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she choreographed and performed Indian/Bollywood dances during her free time.
