I am a writer and blogger on the web and a small business owner/Innkeeper at the Aleksander House Bed and Breakfast in Louisville, Kentucky.
An environmental and wildlife advocate, I am also interested in social media, women's rights and issues as well as the hospitality industry, writing as a profession, and chefing/food. I enjoy reading, theater, dance and most music genres.
I contribute to several online publications, including Examiner.com, Eye On Life, Open Salon, Hub Pages, and Pink Magazine. At present, I am completing a memoir of the 17 years I have been an Innkeeper.
Before opening my own business, I taught music, creative writing, and worked with Cognitively delayed HS students in Chicago, as well as with adult students studying Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Illinois. I have an MSed. Degree in Music from the Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University, an MS degree in Special Education from National -Louis University, and an ABD from the University of Illinois.
