I'm a freelance writer and bailed academic based in Toronto. I write everything from reviews of science fiction novels and interviews with heavy metal musicians to to in-depth feminist games criticism and pieces of long-form journalism. I've most recently written about my time working as a content creator for an internet pornography company, the years-long cat fishing deception behind popular gamer gate figurehead Alison Prime, and the most misandrist metal records of 2015. I'm the author of two books of poetry, and ampresently finishing a novel about supervillainy and henchpeople, exploring the poetic potential of the notes engine in thevideo game Bloodborne, and writinga collection of polyamorous fairytales. Ialso plays a lot of D&D, participate in a lot of Nordic LARPs, watch a lot of horror movies and read a lot of speculative fiction.
