Nicole Rivera
I'm a former NYC public high school mathematics teacher now at home due to a rare disease called Intracranial Hypertension. I'm a 30-something wondering what comes next, working toward having a family, normal health and desperately trying to figure out how the heck to be an organized stay-at-home. In the meantime I try to spread whatever joy and learning I find through my position as webmaster and author of the Rivera Runs Through It Blog!
The blog features the Rivera Runs Through It Book Love Series (contact me to be a part of it!) and a Reading Journal Entry every Wednesday. In addition, I review books, discuss events and things to do in the NYC area, participate in creative writing groups and share my insights on my latest finds in the social media and physical world. I am also a staff writer for Word of the Nerd and part of the team behind the online writing community Story Dam.
I started blogging in an attempt to engage in discussions. For this reason, I would love to hear from you! Drop by the blog and submit a comment, or if you are a Facebook user, join the Rivera Runs Through It fan page, finally if you love to tweet - you're in luck - so do I! Check out all the information below and let's connect, let's talk, let's learn from each other! This Internet is a beautifully powerful tool, let's put it to work!
Hope to see you soon!
