Me? I'm just a liberal, Hippie, Bleeding Heart, African-American Gay celibate, Christian woman. What else do you need to know?

My name is pronounced Knee-new-ray, and it supposedly means "she who is kind" I am Black, that is to say, an African-American. And if ya wanted to get technical, there some Native-American and European folks in my lineage.

I am Christian by choice...and I am an ordained minister....but not ordained by either of the two denominations I currently belong to. (The Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches and the United Church of Christ) I am a unabashed, unashamed liberal who loves her country. My "cause" in life is to increase understanding, promote peace, to defend Human Rights and to try and demonstrate what it means to be a follower of Jesus called the Christ. Ilike to think I am still a "kid" at heart. I still love cartoons, I still want to learn new things. I like beanie-babies. I sleep with a stuffed cat.
