Owner at My Africa Is and Vote or Quench

A product from around the globe, but loudly repping Nigeria, I am a writer, film maker and entrepreneur. I've followed the African culture beat contributing articles to Afripop!, MTV Staying Alive Foundation, Women's Enews, and CNN's Amanpour blog.

In 2010, I founded Vote or Quench a youth empowerment campaign educating young Nigerians on the importance of their vote. I headed back to Nigeria from New York to see the initiative through, and spearheaded the live production of the first youth centered presidential debate.

I eventually moved to the UK for a 6 month business management internship with the Economist Group, mentored by the company's CEO, Andrew Rashbass.

My time in and away from Nigeria, drew my attention to the necessity for an outlet that gives a more complete story of the African continent, and its diversity. This need led me to start My Africa Is, a documentary series for which I write, direct, and produce stories that feature people living, thriving and and inspiring on the African continent, the challenges they face, and the solutions they are providing for their communities.

I am a proud St. John's University alum, a music enthusiast, a comedy & foreign film junkie, and wannabe Yogi.

I am looking to help organizations and media outlets create engaging and intelligent digital content. Need my help? Shoot me an email!
