An accomplished educator and musician, Peter Bogolub has received critical acclaim for his work with the one-man, four-piece band the Sems. He was the sole writer and performer of the Sem’s debut album, Drift, and of the band’s follow-up record, Any Day Ago. In addition to his musical career, Peter Bogolub has held teaching positions throughout New York City and currently serves as a social studies teacher at Leadership and Public Service High School in Manhattan. Previously, he taught history at such institutions as Bronx Engineering and Technology Academy and the Urban Assembly of Music and Art in Brooklyn, where he performed as a key figure in founding the school and creating the student handbook and overall school structure. At the Urban Assembly of Music and Art, Mr. Bogolub also leveraged his passion for music to provide recording instruction using modern software like Garageband and Reason.

Peter Bogolub holds a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Florida at Gainesville and a master of arts in secondary education with a history concentration from the City College of New York in Harlem. In 2013, he also earned a certificate in administration from CITE in Yonkers, New York.
