Phil LaTessa

A mortgage banker in upstate New York, Philip LaTessa has acquired extensive experience in government underwriting and mortgage banking compliance. Early in his career, Phil LaTessa served as a loan officer for companies including Ottley Mortgage and JPMorgan Chase. He went on to become a managing member of The Funding Source in Syracuse, New York. Initially a mortgage broker, the company grew to qualify as a HUD Approved FHA Lender and expanded with branches in several states. Beyond his leadership role with The Funding Source, Phil LaTessa also recently served in the elected position of city auditor for the City of Syracuse. In that position, he oversaw government program audits.

Philip LaTessa is a member of organizations including the Mortgage Brokers Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Internal Independent Auditors Association, and the Government Financial Officers Association.
