Richard Teresi

Richard Teresi, a fulltime faculty member at the Westwood College Online School of Justice, presently serves as a Criminal Law Instructor and fulfills several leadership functions. A member of the Westwood Online Student Retention Committee, Mr. Teresi oversees adjunct faculty members and reviews adjunct faculty courses, as well as developing and evaluating additional courses. Richard Teresi also maintains weekly communications with the School of Justice Criminal Justice Online Team and Program Director.

During his free time, Richard Teresi enjoys learning and teaching martial arts, with a particular focus on Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. He presently holds the rank of Fifth Degree Black Sash Master Instructor. At Bei Shaolin Institute, he teaches adult and children's classes in Bei Shaolin Kung Fu and Qi Gong. Mr. Teresi additionally devotes a portion of his time to studying language, culture, world history, and religions. Formally trained as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Facilitator, he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.

Richard Teresi attended Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, where he earned an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and an Associate of Arts in Applied Science. He held membership in the Phi Theta Kappa honors fraternity at Wilbur Wright College and earned recognition as a 1990 Criminal Justice Program Outstanding Student. He next received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Loyola University in Chicago, where he earned a Full Presidential Academic Scholarship and a 1992 Outstanding Achievement award. Richard Teresi went on to earn a Master of Science in Criminal Justice at Lewis University in Romeoville, followed by a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Argosy University.
