Rick King

Over the course of a decade, Rick King has distinguished himself as a visionary technology executive at Thomson Reuters Corporation, the leading source of pertinent and intelligent information for professionals and business leaders.

He has held several positions during his career with Thomson Reuters, including serving as chief operating officer, senior vice president, and executive vice president. For his strong leadership, Rick King has received several awards, including the Computerworld Top 100 IT Leadership Award in 2007 and the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal CIO Career Achievement Award.

Outside of work, Rick King maintains positions with several boards and advisory councils. In addition to contributing to the Greater MSP Regional Economic Development Council and Minnesota Business Partnership, his expertise has earned him appointments by governors from both major political parties. In 2011, he was appointed to the Metropolitan Airports Commission and the Technology Advisory Council by Minnesota governor Mark Dayton. Previously, he served as the governor-appointed chair of the state’s ultra-high-speed broadband task force.
