Rick Ruvkun

A seasoned investment professional, Rick Ruvkun currently serves as Partner and Director of Domestic Equity Research for Lord Abbett and Company. Mr. Ruvkun initially joined the New Jersey investment management firm in 2006 as a portfolio manager overseeing a mid-capitalization growth equities fund. In 2008, Mr. Ruvkun became a Partner and took on the role of directing the research, industry, and sector analysis team covering domestic equities. Domestic Equity Research encompasses the analysis of the broader spectrum of economic and financial influences on the mid- to large-capitalization U.S. equities. Rick Ruvkun brings more than 25 years of financial analysis experience to his current role at Lord Abbett & Company. He studied mechanical engineering at Stanford University. Following his graduation, he served as a cost engineer for International Business Machines (IBM) in San Jose, California. After earning an MS in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management, Rick Ruvkun joined the venture capital division at Merrill Lynch and subsequently moved into equity research at Morgan Stanley. During his six year tenure with Morgan Stanley, Mr. Ruvkun researched equities in the technology sector and later for the firm's Emerging Growth Fund. Rick Ruvkun went on to serve as a portfolio manager at Bessemer Trust. He became a portfolio manager at J. & W. Seligman, Inc., in New York, where he focused on small/mid (SMID) capitalization growth equities.
