Standing behind results achieved for clients in over three decades of experience in family law, Attorney Robert E. Glasser provides mediation, collaborative, and litigation services to clients processing their divorce. Mr. Glasser graduated from the UCLA School of Law with honors, and began his private practice of law in Orange County in 1972. He is admitted and authorized to practice in every state and federal court in California and in the Supreme Court of the United States. As an Attorney, Mr. Glasser advocates collaborative and noncombative proceedings in divorces. Mr. Glasser routinely litigates or negotiates for clients regarding custody, support, property, and even high-conflict matters, such as child move-away cases.
Robert E. Glasser is a pioneer and advocate for applying mediation techniques to create mutually beneficial settlements between divorcing individuals. Mr. Glasser and his wife, a licensed mental health professional, provide gender-neutral mediation, taking all the couples’ factual, legal, and emotional factors into consideration. Mr.s. Glasser does not act as a therapist while counseling couples through the process, she and Mr. Glasser are neutrals, but such a professional can be provided upon a client’s request. By undergoing mediation as an alternative to hiring attorneys to make a settlement, a couple maintains control of its decisions. They then are made legally binding. Mr. Glasser's mediation and collaborative settlement efforts are designed to spare clients undue emotional strain in an already stressful situation. In mediation, clients generally can save an average of 75% from the cost of hiring an attorney to negotiate for each party.
More than 1,400 clients have benefited from Robert E. Glasser's mediation experience and knowledge. Mr. Glasser maintains memberships in several organizations related to his particular field of law, including the Academy of Family Mediators, Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution, and the National Panel of Arbitrators. He also helped found Orange County’s West Justice Center mediation program.
Aside from litigating and mediating with his clients, Robert E. Glasser pursues a passion for classic cars, enjoys bodysurfing and maintaining physical fitness.
