Rodney Hesson

Rodney Hesson owns and operates Hesson Management, LLC, based in Slidell, Louisiana. Through the company, he consults with nursing home executives and managers of other health care facilities on behavioral intervention programs. In addition, Rodney Hesson holds responsibility for marketing and program initiatives at Psychological Care Services, LLC, in Poplarville, Mississippi, where his duties include working with caregivers at nursing homes to enhance psychological care for elderly patients. Mr. Hesson remains especially concerned with alleviating psychological conditions through the use of non-pharmaceutical techniques.

After high school, Rodney Hesson enrolled in Northeast Louisiana University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in General Psychology in just three years. Shortly thereafter, he entered The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute in Missouri. In addition to earning his Master of Arts and his Doctor of Psychology, both in Clinical Psychology, Mr. Hesson secured a place on the dean's list and established the Society for Gerontological Research. During this time, he began extending psychological services to residents of rural areas.

Since completing his formal training, Rodney Hesson has continued to interface with other professionals in his field and keep current with emerging trends by maintaining membership in organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association, the Gestalt Institute & Relationship Center of New Orleans, and the American Psychological Association (APA). His ongoing research interests include geriatric psychology and psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and the effective marketing of health care. He uses such professional publications as the Journal of the American Medical Association, the APA's Monitor on Psychology, the Journal of Psychopharmacology, and the Journal of Applied Gerontology to further his professional and clinical goals.

Dedicated to giving back to his community, Rodney Hesson founded Hesson's Helping Hands, which enables uninsured families to obtain much-needed medical services.
