I am a journalist, a former overseas correspondent, a writer who enjoys taking pictures, a communications professional, a third-culture kid who was born in Texas but has spent more than 20 years living overseas, and a traveler who has experienced life in more than 40 countries.

Nothing makes me happier than to pull back the curtain to help people realize what an enormous world awaits their discovery. I believe life is better lived in the context of community and service.

I think water is just coffee that hasn't reached its full potential, I love creating - and eating - exotic food, and I spend far too much time thinking about the books I want to write instead of actually writing them.
