Ryan Millbern

K9 Officer Ryan Millbern has been awarded an array of honorable recognitions across his over decade long career in law enforcement and protection services. While Ryan Millbern currently functions as an Explosive Ordnance Detection (EOD) K9 Handler throughout the Middle East, he received multiple awards during his eight-year tenure with the Vail Police Department. Such awards include the Silver Medal of Valor in May 2009 and March 2010, as well as an Outstanding Individual Dedication to DUI Enforcement award courtesy of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving). Ryan Millbern was also nominated for other awards during this time, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s Award for Excellence in Environmental Crimes Enforcement & Education. Mr. Millbern's accomplishments in law enforcement also comprise a short time with the Basalt Police Department.

A 2002 graduate of the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy, Ryan Millbern finished with an academic average of 93.8 percent and achieved the highest score on his Colorado Police Officer Standards and Training (POST). Mr. Millbern also attended Santa Ana College as well as California State University, Fullerton, where he studied speech communications.
