The 'Sadistic Scribbler' is an established artist & photographer who earned a living as a web designer and IT consultant between jobs as a teacher. He also goes by the name of Jan Szafrański, but became known as Sadistic Scribbler back when he began as a comic book artist (first underground in the '70s to mainstream in the late '80s). Deciding he needed a 'proper job' he moved to teaching art & photography to teens, followed by developing computers with IBM and Microsoft, and then onto web-design, photo-manips, etc. before returning to teaching in 2002. In 2006 he temporarily lost his sight which was the precursor of a slow physical decline… with pain, fatigue, vision & cognitive problems, and tremors & spasms.
