Sean is an internationally respected Microsoft Active Directory expert, recognized around the industry for both his technical expertise on the Windows Server infrastructure and the ability to communicate it. A book, magazine, and online author, he has been an international conference speaker for over 15 years. He is one of only 75 individuals world-wide awarded Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Directory Services by Microsoft, an award he has received annually since 2004. 

As a technical leader for both Intel and Texas Instruments, he was a key player in designing and maintaining the identity infrastructure at each company. In his current role as technical director for Windows IT Pro and SQL Server magazines, he writes and speaks about enterprise identity and cloud computing topics.

Away from the computer, Sean practices and teaches Okinawan karate, is an avid runner, and road cyclist, and enjoys photography.
