Shawn Dickson Swail

Early Years
Shawn’s family relocated to Kelowna, BC in 1969. Shawn Dickson Swail early years were focused on a multitude of sports. Shawn excelled at track (sprinting) and racquetball, but primarily excelled at ice hockey and baseball where he competed at high levels.

Education
Swail attended the University of Alberta to obtain his Bachelor of Arts, majoring equally in Political Science and History, and obtained his Law degree in 1991.

Legal Career
Swail articled with the firm of Salloum Doak prior to joining them as an associate for 2 more years. In 1994 he left to open his own firm of Swail and Co. which ran for 15 years until its closure in 2009. From 2009 to the end of 2013 Swail worked as an Executive Assistant and Advisor at Penty and Company Lawyers. 2014 saw Swail focus on volunteer activities with the Uptown Rutland Business Association, where he served as President, and for other volunteer positions and boards with the City of Kelowna, Rutland community and Trinity Baptist Church.
