The Stairwell Carollers are now in their 45th year of bringing the Christmas spirit to listeners in the Ottawa/Gatineau region.

Always a cappella, the group started in the Student housing stairwells of Ottawa U. where they brought cheer to fellow students during the Xmas exam season.

Their name honours these roots.

The Spring repertoire spans Renaissance through to Contemporary music, both sacred and secular. At Christmastime, they sing traditional and original contemporary Christmas carols.

Winners of the 2010 OMFA provincial competition, they placed 2nd in the Canadian Nationals.

Recording a Xmas album in 1986 in aid of Ronald McDonald house began their philanthropic mission. Now, they have 9 CDs (also in mp3 format) available - Net proceeds to charity.

To date, donations to local Ottawa/Gatineau charities, through the sale of concert tickets, CDs and cookbooks -- and The annual Stairwell Carollers music scholarship, total over $135,000.00.

A Brand new Christmas carol CD, Adeste Fideles LIVE commemorates their 40th Anniversary year.

The 2012 CD, CANTATE DOMINO, is a selection of Sacred songs from the Renaissance period.
