As a Law Society accredited professional family mediator, and non-practising solicitor, I'm an experienced problem solver. I motivate people to engage in the process of solving problems or resolving disputes. I work with partners, parents, children and families going through divorce or family transitions.

You may be surprised to read that relationship breakdown is rarely a matter requiring lawyers - experts in the law. I was a solicitor for nearly 20 years and during that time I could count on one hand the number of times I was ever called upon to argue the law.

Most disputes in fact stem from communication problems, which is why I retrained to become a mediator in 2009.

I am a director of the College of Mediators and member of Family Mediators Association, Resolution, Association of Conflict Resolution, Civil Mediation Council and the Family Mediation Council

I am one of few in the UK trained in all the major mediation specialisms - Family, Civil & Commercial, Workplace, Community & Neighbourhood, Adult & Elder and Peer. I also supervise other mediators and am authorised to consult directly with children.

I am proud to be known for my work in developing mediation online via video for family problems and disputes, enabling people to mediate even when they are not on the same continent.
