Stephen Koppekin
Consultant in Los Angeles, California
Stephen Koppekin artfully negotiated collective bargaining agreements for over 40 years with the NLRB, CBS, and and other major motion picture companies. He sat at the table with the best of the best and always secured the smartest deals for his company. He is well respected by his counterparts in various unions and now brings his knowledge and professionalism to corporations and individuals seeking guidance and tutelage in the byzantine world of labor unions, collective bargaining agreements, deal negotiations and general labor and employment issues.
He is the CEO of Koppekin Consulting, a firm serving small to mid-sized companies, particularly within (but not limited to) the entertainment industry.
Stephen was born in New Jersey and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he excelled in the economics program. He later enrolled at Rutgers School of Law, where he focused on labor relations. During his final year at Rutgers, Stephen built and managed a program for credits, working for the New Jersey state department for Civil Rights. During his time there, he made tremendous improvements by redesigning the case handling process.
After graduating, Stephen worked for two small firms before spending 13 years working for CBS in the department of Labor Relations.
Stephen later accepted a position at another major motion picture company. He retired from the company in 2013.
In his personal life, Stephen is an avid traveler and devoted family man. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife. Their three children and four grandchildren live close by.
