Steve Blais

My name is Steve Blais and I am presently in my 9th year of teaching Art at Draper Middle School in Rotterdam, NY. Art has always been by passion since my youth when my mom handed me a pad of paper and a pencils, to keep me out of trouble, the rest is history. I have two beautiful children and a wonderful wife who are all my best supporters of my Artistic pursuits. Oh yeah, I love to run too it helps to clear my head.

Teaching Art is a great way for me to share this passion for the Arts with other students, artists, colleagues and parents alike. Every day I make sure to listen to the students in order to learn a new approach to teaching and unique methods I have never utilized. Technology has also become a large part in the way I teach, podcasting, YouTube, I make tutorials for studetns to make learning easy, and on their turf.
