Steve Rice Los Gatos

A veteran financial advisor and politician with more than three decades of experience in his field, Stephen Ricecurrently splits his time between responsibilities as head of Rice Financial Consulting, Inc., and Mayor of Los Gatos, California. A lifelong resident of the Silicon Valley region, Steve Rice graduated from Los Gatos High School before enrolling at San Jose State University, where he developed his leadership skills as President of the Tau Delta Phi fraternity and pursued studies in business administration and finance. After San Jose State, Mr. Rice furthered his education through The American College, earning his Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designations from this school.

Launching Rice Financial Consulting in 1982, Steve Rice Los Gatos quickly built his company into a trusted source of financial planning, asset management, insurance, and business planning services to clients in and around the greater San Francisco Bay Area. In tandem with his work at Rice Financial Consulting, Stephen Rice has played key leadership roles in several industry and community groups over the years, maintaining a simultaneous focus on finance and philanthropy alike. To this end, Steve Rice served as President of both the Silicon Valley and California chapters of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, President of the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council, and President of the Rotary Club of Los Gatos.

Elected to the Los Gatos Town Council in 2008, Steve Rice Los Gatos went on to become Mayor in 2011.
