Steven R Gallegos

Educated at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM and Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Steven R. Gallegos holds a bachelor of arts in psychology and a master of science in healthcare administration. He also completed numerous AMEDD courses, and other critical medical training as an officer in the United States Army. Steven R. Gallegos’ responsibilities with the Army ranged from assignments to the Pentagon working on medical issues to leading the Army effort for TRICARE in Japan, a federal healthcare initiative that benefits military personnel and veterans.

Before retiring from military service in 2007, Steven Gallegos earned a number of prestigious awards and decorations including an Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, a Meritorious Service Medal with five oak leaf clusters, and a Legion of Merit. For the past seven years, Mr. Gallegos has served as the president and chief executive officer of Vesa Health & Technology, a San Antonio, Texas medical staffing and consulting firm that serves US military professionals and their families.
